I'm a lawyer and a real estate specialist, based in Glasgow. I enjoy variety and challenge. I’m a proud “generalist” (I like variety!), but am particularly active in our Data Centres, Logistics, Lifesciences, Energy and Offices teams and projects.I’m very lucky to advise a broad variety of businesses, including BP, Tarmac, Serco, Kadans Science Partner, Phoenix Group plc, Virgin Money, Wolseley UK, Veolia, MGroup, Brockwell Energy, Marie Curie, Hargreaves Services plc, Dreams Limited, and some very exciting Tech companies. I was awarded a 2024 Thomson Reuters “Star Lawyer” accolade, apparently for my “devotion to client care” (how nice!). I also take a lead role in CMS's Responsible Business and ESG initiatives; I’m CMS Scotland’s Pro Bono Partner (coordinating pro bono legal services provided to various UK charities, including The Prince’s Trust, Marie Curie, Social Bite, IFDAS, and Inspiring Scotland, as well as pro bono partnerships with clients), and a CMS Diversity & Inclusion Champion. I spend a lot of my spare time volunteering as a board member for various UK charities, including (currently) The Nepal Trust and SPIFOX.Clients have said:“Chris acts for us across our property portfolio consistently delivering focussed commercial advice.
