I currently work as a Senior Manager in the Wiley Learning Team, and I am responsible for designing, developing, and launching enterprise learning solutions and programs to help our colleagues at Wiley learn, develop and grow. Together with my team in the US and Sri Lanka, we partner with colleagues across Wiley to provide guidance and expertise in learning/instructional design and development, focusing on scalable technology-driven learning solutions. We manage Wiley's learning platforms (LinkedIn Learning, CrossKnowledge, Learning Hub, Workday Learning), ensuring we enhance and track learning engagement, and implement approaches to continuously improve our learning offerings. I act as a consultant for various leaders and stakeholders around strategic approaches to learning for their departments, teams, and direct reports. I am also a people manager, managing a team of learning specialists based in Sri Lanka.

I manage a team of L&D Specialists and we deliver learning and development programs for all employees at Wiley. We use a variety of tools including Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Adobe AfterEffects, Dreamweaver, Camtasia, and various LMS's such as SAP SuccessFactors, CrossKnowledge, and Workday to design, develop and deliver our high-quality learning courses. We are also responsible for in-house facilitation of certain programs to address identified learning needs.

I am part of Wiley's Global Talent Development team that leads the design, development, and implementation of talent development programs for Wiley colleagues globally. Though I lead Wiley's Talent Development in the APAC region, I am also responsible for several global initiatives. The programs our team spearhead include a wide variety of learning initiatives following the 70-20-10 learning and development model; a range of colleague engagement programs on various topics; yearly talent reviews and evaluation; performance and development objective setting exercises; career development/advancement workshops; as well as tools, processes and methods that help empower our colleagues and managers to improve their talents and career mobility.

I support the training needs of Wiley’s Global Marketing organization. I report directly to the VP of Marketing and the Director of Marketing Operations. In this role to date, I’ve: • Built and implemented a Marketing Training Roadmap directly impacting the two main Marketing arms of Wiley – Research and Knowledge & Learning marketing. I’ve developed training programs, set learning pathways, built training analytics, crafted governance and feedback mechanisms, and partnered with internal departments and third-party vendors to realize the training roadmap. • Rolled out enterprise-wide system implementations, the most recent one to about 500 users in the company. This training roll-out streamlined processes and the company saved more than US$300K in licensing and usage cost. • Conducted a pan-Marketing Training Needs Analysis and generated valuable data now in use by marketing leaders in Wiley• Developed the Wiley Marketing Academy, a catalogue of e-Learning courseware and live courses to educate our marketing organization on a variety of topics. Current analytics show more than 2000 instances of completion, from over 300 unique users since the Academy launched. Currently working on the second-generation Marketing Academy, involving learning pathways to address entire skills gaps. • Managed a freelance training developer in Manila, Philippines for any additional training development requirement. • Supported the Marketing Technology Manager at Wiley in developing and setting workflows and process steps around change management and process improvements, publishing several documentations including robust training manuals, user guides, help sheets, and learning tool kits to help drive adoption. Many of the training guides I produced gained positive reviews from colleagues in the organization. • Represented the Marketing organization in the selection process of a new Learning Management Platform to be used by all of Sales and Marketing at Wiley.

In this previous role, I’ve done the following: • Lead the planning, design and implementation of classroom, e-learning, and virtual training courses for Wiley’s Global Marketing Services team based in Singapore, Philippines, and Germany, and to an extent, to Wiley’s Marketing teams globally. • Led the conceptualization and development of an in-house Salesforce certification program that certified 450+ colleagues in the company, leading to an 80% improvement in operational skills and a cost savings of $200K in training development cost. • Led the training roll-out of the Aprimo Marketing Resource Management system in Wiley, training over 400 marketing and marketing services colleagues across the globe, directly contributing to operational efficiency in the way global marketing manages activities and projects. • Led the training roll-out of Ariba Spend Management system in the APAC region, training over 200 colleagues and contributing to a more efficient way of processing purchase orders and invoices in the company. • Led the roll-out of Salesforce to our APAC Sales and Marketing teams, training close to 150 colleagues on how to use the system for pipeline management and reporting. I also participated in rolling out our Salesforce Leads Management methodologies and processes to our global Sales and Marketing organizations. • Conducted on-boarding for new-hire employees in Singapore and Manila, continuously addressing each colleagues’ learning needs throughout their employment within the Marketing Services organization. • Training and training development on Salesforce, Aprimo, Ariba, Kapost, Eloqua, and a host of other marketing technologies in Wiley. • Authoring training documentation in e-Learning and print format. • Maintaining a Library of training courses in Wiley’s Learning Management Platform (SAP Success Factors), and administering enrollments and sign ups to various courses and modules.
