Chris is a solutions driven partner at LSG – a leading IP boutique in Germany. His practice is broadly focused on both contentious and non-contentious matters. On the contentious side, Chris litigates, mediates and arbitrates in the areas of trademark and trade dress infringement, anti-counterfeiting, unfair competition, false advertising, trademark dilution, copyright and Internet-related matters. On the non-contentious side, Chris takes care of the entire lifecycle of trademarks and designs - starting with strategic planning before filing and conducting searches up to conducting filing, opposition and cancellation proceedings (German PTO, German Federal Patent Court, EUIPO, CFI, ECJ). Supported by an energetic prosecution team, Chris handles the coordination of global IP portfolios, trademark monitoring, border seizure proceedings and the fight against parallel imports and counterfeiting. He also negotiates and drafts a wide range of commercial agreements, including trademark co-existence agreements, transfer and assignments of rights agreements, sponsorship agreements, apparel and consumer goods licenses, dealer and distribution agreements. Chris works with clients spanning a wide range of industries, including sports, insurance, shoes, apparel, consumer goods and entertainment. Among his clients are several DAX-listed companies and global market leaders. Chris has been recognized by JUVE, Chambers, Legal 500 and WTR 1000.
