Working with a team of stellar startup engineers I lead SkyKick's product direction and overall roadmap. My responsibilities range from high level strategy, business modelling, and new product development to individual feature design and writing product and marketing copy. I manage our agile planning process, product research and regular feature discussions with our partners and customers.

As the lead Program Manager for several engineering teams at Bing I worked on key search verticals including Local scenarios, integrating Facebook and other social networks, entertainment and multimedia search.I drove the pioneering release of Bing's Social Sidebar which integrated relevant results from your Facebook friends' posts along with Twitter and other social media content alongside traditional search results. Responsible for detailed product design, driving user and business goals, team program management.Managed the creation of an Entertainment Search Vertical that contributed 0.4 pts of query share and provided a rich search experience combining algorithmic search results with structured data. The technology developed was later used to power Xbox's search service. In addition to product development I was deeply involved in business modelling and negotiating content rights with music labels and other providers. Program Manager lead for the user interface of Image and Video search, News search, Local and Travel search verticals.

While based in the UK I led Product Management for communications services for the European region including Hotmail and MSN Messenger helping to drive Messenger to be the dominant instant messaging platform in Europe with over 90% market share in most countries. Moving to Microsoft's Redmond HQ I was the product manager for Windows Live Mail, the successor to Outlook Express. I was responsible for product strategy and management as OE transitioned from a default Windows program to a software client tied to the Hotmail backend service.At Bing I managed the browser search default assets, conducted customer research and worked closely with the Bing User Experience team on projects that included the first version of the Bing Homepage with rich images.

Columbus Group was a trail blazing internet consultancy in the early days of the Web. At the time it was western Canada's largest Web agency with clients across the USA and Canada. Specializing in large corporate websites and internet applications it was acquired by Telus in 2001.I led a 21 person development group which created award winning corporate Web sites, custom intranet applications and provided Internet consulting.
