3k Associates, Inc is a software developer for the HP3k (HP3000) platform computers (no longer sold by HP) as well as a web services provider.3k has had over 200 enterprise customers for our electronic mail software on the HP3000 and dozens of consulting and training jobs, 2 international distributors, a premier HP channel partner, and exhibited at several HP World trade shows. As owner I managed a staff of up to 14 people and managed or oversaw all aspects of the operation including marketing, product development, documentation, technical support, and administration. I coordinated the eventual outsourcing of primary operations but still support the software and occasional back end technical support. 3k still operates about a dozen very well monitored servers including multiple DNS, email, ftp, vmware, and web servers and hosts several commercial web sites on our servers.

Was able to meet 100% daily system backup SLA of over 300 systems nationwide as mandated in LM services contract.One of the leads in developing processes to report on a wide variety of SLA metrics.Developed and tested new system delivery processes and checklists for O&M team. Created and managed the system inventory. Admin for all Unix systems including an E15K Sunfire system running Peoplesoft and many Linux servers. Primary admin for DNS, all UPS/Power/HVAC/other data center environmental systems and design. Also configured the Linux OS for the Mint's new VMWare ESX systems (an assortment of 8 and 16-way IBM Intel servers), which is the primary platform for all Microsoft and Linux servers.
