Chris Coles is a seasoned engineering leader. He has nearly a decade of software engineering experience in full stack web and mobile application design and implementation, systems design, technical architecture, technical leadership, and engineering management. Prior to learning to code, he studied Economics and Political Science at Columbia University.As the technical co-founder and CTO of Dollaride, a mobility company that brings clean transportation to underserved communities by empowering drivers with financing, technology, and infrastructure, Chris led engineering development efforts that resulted in over $1M in annual recurring revenue. He managed a team of six engineers and was instrumental in Dollaride's success. Prior to Dollaride, Chris was a technical lead and senior software engineer at Truss, a civic tech consulting firm that helps government agencies and organizations modernize and scale digital services. He led the delivery of two major projects: a web application for Dell Technologies and a moving platform for the U.S. Armed Services, Department of Defense, and U.S. TRANSCOM. He also managed, coached and mentored direct reports and collaborated with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Chris is passionate about service and giving back and volunteers at his local Habitat for Humanity and an organization that supports incarcerated youth learning how to code. He is also an avid fitness enthusiast, a real estate investor, and a family man. Chris has been featured in Forbes, WSJ, NYT, and numerous other publications.
