Blackstone is my second shot at having my own company and brand to represent my work.Acting as creative director, Blackstone is a digital content production studio with a 'house specialty' being automotive and motorsports content, that was born from a need and a dream, because of my personal interest in the area.I created it almost a decade ago with a friend and colleague of similar interests, and we have worked together up until the end of 2022.We have had a lot of great projects in these past 9 years, ranging from big names on the auto industry to very little companies like a two-people ceramic studio.The experience I brought into Blackstone have surely been refined, and I gathered so much more along the years. Apart from the obvious creative and production roles, everything that has been learned like client dealing and negotiating, financial administration and planning, external team assembling and hiring, project management, even performance driving and creating proprietary camera stabilization systems for car mounting. It has been the biggest endeavor of my life.

Now, for the second time working for Dreambox, I was offered the official position as Post-production Coordinator with a fixed team of 4, and we expanded up to 8 professionals while working on bigger projects.I was responsible from budget planning to final delivery.

I had the opportunity to do a freelance work for O2, one the biggest film and ad production companies in Brazil, and after this project, they made me the offer to be officially a part of the motion graphics team.I worked directly with art directors and directors in creating pieces for cinema, television and web ads.Since the company had more than 100 employees, my job was very focused on design and animation, working with a team of 6 animation professionals, and many others involved in other parts of the post-production process, which was an incredible experience to be able to see up-close every step in the creation of a feature film for theaters or multi-million ad campaigns.

This job was very early in the life of a video and sound production company, and my main roles were to choose and configure the editing stations, room layout planning, team hiring and lastly create and coordinate the post-production workflow.It was a small production company, with the two owners as creative directors and a team of 6 people in total. The post-production team was composed of 2 of them, not considering myself.As a small business, created by acquaintances, of course that my roles were not limited to post-production, because they needed help in every part of the process. From briefing meetings with clients to budget planning, it was a very good place to learn more about how to assemble and develop a job from start to finish.

From concept to delivery, I was responsible for the creative process and production of media content for a motorsports focused event agency and marketing strategy for local racing teams.The job was temporary and it was a two man army - me and the company owner. He was a marketing professional with many years of experience, and from his marketing planning, I had to create media production plans for the clients. This close contact and understanding of marketing principles was also very valuable for my next career steps.

My first attempt at creating a brand and company, GenFX was an animation studio start-up with a previous co-worker and college acquaintance.We had one ad agency as a client that hired us to do most of their presentations for project pitching.When they got the client, we were responsible for creating the animated parts of the job. We worked for many kinds of companies, from banks, to tech, but most of it was corporative content.We have grown to a team of 4 hired professionals in a very short time, but the lack of experience in administration forced us to cease activities within less than 2 years of existence. Although, the experience gathered in this short period was very valuable. I had to deal with team hiring and management, project planning, producing, creative process from script to delivery, and administration.
