Chris spent his formative years on the baseball field and fishing in Florida’s Gulf Coast waterways, excelling academically and athletically. His talent for baseball was quickly recognized, leading to his draft out of high school by the Florida Marlins. Despite receiving academic and athletic scholarship offers from several prestigious universities, Chris ultimately chose to pursue his dream of a Major League Baseball career, officially joining the Marlins in 2001. For the next 14 years, Chris lived out his baseball career to the fullest, pitching successfully for six teams over nine seasons in the MLB. At the start of his career, Chris married Kara, and they began a family. However, with each relocation, the perpetual uncertainty of the baseball lifestyle, coupled with Chris's desire to be more present in his children's lives, made navigating their circumstances challenging. Eventually, Chris decided to retire from baseball and move forward with the next chapter of his life. Shortly after, his real estate career began, drawing from a family legacy of over 60 years in real estate sales and development.
