Former tough and innovative Programme Manager with Barclays Bank who managed IT environments globally. Success has been underpinned by sound analytical judgment, strong negotiating and influencing skills - and an overriding emphasis on effective leadership - drawing upon 34 years of Regular & Reserve service with various speciialist military units (as a staff trained professional soldier).

Set up this charity (www.hopefull.org.uk) with David Fox-Pitt 10 days after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, bringing food & joy to displaced Ukrainians who had been forced to move to Western Ukraine. Since that time have moved the charity further eastward and now operate out of a base in Zaporizhzia, serving the population from Kharkiv in North to Odesa in South. Set up feeding stations each day with 4-5 trucks in local schools, community centres and town halls that have been impacted by the war. Serve up to 2,000 individuals & families each day and distributed > 2.5 million free meals since beginning of war - having raised >£2m in that time to sustain the operation.
