I'm co-founder and CEO of ConnectSx, a SaaS platform company focused on supporting and improving the way surgical devices are tracked, managed, and used. I am an entrepreneur, educator, and big-picture thinker, having spent the past 16+ years of my career leveraging technology to address complex problems.Healthcare is at a crossroads and has been for some time. Massive amounts of waste in an incredibly complex system has created both opportunity and risk that can only be effectively addressed through cross-functional collaboration, increased transparency, and--most importantly--innovative thought leadership from individuals and organizations not afraid to challenge the status quo. ConnectSx was founded on the principal that there is always opportunity to add new value in the global pursuit to deliver on the promise of improved cost and quality of care. We believe it is our obligation to leverage the best in digital innovations to support and strengthen every link in the surgical value chain to help organizations and individuals achieve those very ends. Prior to ConnectSx, I spent almost a decade at the University of Chicago serving in a range of key strategic roles, including Program Manager for Innovation, Assistant Director for Emerging Technologies, and Director of Strategy and Relationships. Earlier in my career I taught High School where I learned what it truly means to be patient, empathetic, organized, and engaging.
