Since achieving his MBA from Henley in 2005-2006 Chris has worked with organisations to ensure that organisational strategy, systems and stakeholder interests are aligned. He also holds the Professional Certificate in Coaching from Henley and is an Assessor for the CMI (Chartered Management Institute) when managers apply for Chartered Manager (CMgr) status.Chris' part-time Senior Lecturer role in the Business School at Middlesex has evolved in recent years. He now spends a substantial part of his time supporting managers as they undertake work-based research projects as the final part of their differing Masters programmes. His brief has also widened to lead on the design and delivery of Apprenticeship programmes at Level 6 and Level 7. This evolved from initial work with Worldpay's bespoke MA for the payments/fintech sector and recently featured delivery of the initial module of the Middlesex Staff MBA (Creating Leadership Identity) based on the Senior Leader Degree Apprenticeship. Chris recently led on the successful validation of Middlesex's CMDA (Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship) at Level 6 (Undergraduate) and is currently leading the development of the Supply Chain Leadership Professional, another Level 6 Apprenticeship that will be available in 2022 and delivered in conjunction with The Supply Chain Academy. Chris continues to lead the research modules of the Consalia-Middlesex MSc in Leading Sales Transformation with managers from SAP and SKF. Chris also continues to coach managers across the private and public sectors. Recent coaching clients include the CEO of a listed technology company; an HR manager in a global shipping company preparing a career step to Board level, a sales executive transitioning from a global FMCG company into a niche sports management consultancy and a manager at RNIB. A common characteristic of many of Chris’ clients is there desire to transition to a new position, role or level of responsibility. Chris’ methodology has its roots in his MBA research at Henley. For most of the first 20 years of his career Chris taught geography and was Director of Football, primarily at Bolton School in the north-west and latterly Auckland Grammar School in New Zealand.Specialties: Design and delivery of mentoring schemes to international standards. Facilitation of learning & development interventions, particularly leadership development interventions, designed specifically to make the transfer of development from programme to workplace more secure and to sustain it thereafter.
