Quercus Consulting develops policies and manages projects that help clients identify their environmental strengths and liabilities, resulting in cost savings, risk avoidance and strategic planning. I am currently serving as an Associate with a variety of project management responsibilities. This is a small firm and I wear many hats, from managing accounting to LEED project documentation, providing landscape design services to supervising sub-contractors, and other duties as needed to expand the business, which has grown by 10% every year for the past four years.

I served as a designer creating landscape plans for residential clients. Projects began with site analysis and continued through permitting and construction. I managed all aspects of design for my clients including conceptualization, drafting, sketching, analysis, 3D modeling, rendering, bidding and final presentations. I executed design plans in the field by managing crews during the building season. I worked closely with the crew and clients to ensure all guidelines and expectations were met. I also assisted colleagues with their design and construction projects, and exceeded my annual sales goals.

As the Project Manager for Greencorps Chicago, a community landscaping and green job training program of the Chicago Department of Environment, I engaged with the public and municipal agencies on a regular basis. Duties included guiding block clubs, school groups and social service agencies through the process of building and maintaining community gardens. Managed four full time staff, 25 seasonal employees, vehicle & heavy equipment fleet, and $1.2M budget. Assisted in the development of the landscape and related educational programming at the acclaimed Chicago Center for Green Technology.
