The GIS department at the university of Stellenbosch employed me as a student GIS analyst. The work done for the university varied from digitizing, georeferencing, scripting, database management and developing training courses for ArcGIS.

Working together we developed a new method for play fairway analysis, which is used as a main tool during licensing rounds.During this time I was involved with ArcObjects, C# and open source GIS. As a trainee employed for RWE Dea in the exploration department, I shared an office with a geologist and we developed a procedure of developing risk maps in ArcGIS.
