-Create designs (machine components through final finished product) using SolidWorks and AutoCAD-Create and design bills of materials, unique product identification methods and descriptions using data management software such as J.D. Edwards-Obtain new product orders from Sales and Customer Service team members and translate orders received into new bill of materials, solid models, and detailed CAD drawings-Input data into software programs to organize drawings and part numbers for easy access and accurate price setting-Multi-task and communicate with multiple department heads to coordinate and facilitate new projects within deadlines set and support cost-effective collaboration-Create and present detailed and easy to understand reports and presentations regarding current and potential projects for daily meetings-Audit and train employees in manners conducive to standard operating procedures and encourage peer to peer relationships that foster communications and cooperation Work effectively alongside team members of various departments as part of the design teamInteract directly with customers to obtain key product information (items details and drawings), while ensuring cost-effective and timely service is provided at the highest profit-margin possible-Prioritize workload and tasks in order to maximize efficiency of product-line and prevent delays in fulfillment of customer orders and company-wide projects Abide by all safety regulations and office procedures to ensure hazard-free workplace environment-Survey existing data sets and product components and assemblies to asses areas for improvement, improve tolerances, input missing information and brainstorm with other team members to create high quality designs-Asses tolerances and analyze product data for flaws or inaccuracies to improve existing drawings
