As the Co-Head of CPT and Head of Software Engineering at London Metal Exchange, I have over 15 years of experience in the IT, FMI and Financial Services industries. I lead a team of IT professionals who deliver end-to-end IT solutions that support the business objectives and operations of the world's leading metal exchange.My core competencies include IT Management, Software Development, Platform Engineering, IT Strategy, Innovation, Communication (including Boards, Customers and Regulators), Governance, Third Party Management, Procurement and Financial Management, Performance Management and Workforce Transformation (including Agile). I also have a broad and deep understanding of the technical aspects of IT, as well as the management needs of IT organisations often finding creative solutions to business needs.Currently, I manage the software engineering function, which develops, tests and supports the core trading platforms and applications that enable the exchange's critical trading services.In my previous roles, I have lead the CTO Office, which is designed to ensure a consistent, transparent, and efficient approach to the way the IT organisation operates and delivers value to the business. I have also lead the Digital Workplace including the Open Outcry Trading floor and Technology Innovation functions, which aim to enhance the user experience, productivity, and collaboration of the IT staff and customers. I am passionate about delivering business value by building high performance teams and vendor relationships to develop, test and operate fit for purpose technology solutions meeting the FMI regulations, market expectations and business strategy.
