Current Experience: Chris began at Whitlock & Company as an intern in January of 2013 and transitioned into a staff accountant role upon graduating from the University of Tennessee in the summer of 2014. In his time here he has gained experience in many areas of accounting, including individual, partnership and corporate taxation. Chris also provides services in compilation and reviews. He has worked on tax and other financial accounting services with multiple small businesses across a variety of industries. In addition to his experience in working with small businesses Chris also works with multiple Non-Profit entities as well.Education & Training: Chris received his CPA license in February of 2016 from the State of Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in May of 2014 with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and a collateral in supply chain management. He earned his Masters of Accountancy in August 2015 from East Tennessee State University. He continues his education annually through continual professional education programs offered by accredited, professional organization.Personal and Community Involvement: Chris is involved with several community and professional organizations, a few are highlighted below:• Teaches 5th and 6th grade Sunday School Class at Blount Community Church • Helps with the Children’s and Music Ministry’s at Outreach Christian Church• Board Member for Harbours Gate (http://harboursgate.org/) • Member of Partners in Business East Tennessee (PIBET)• American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)• Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA)
