The sales representatives asked for my help in this role and I fulfilled it in addition to my other duties.I wrote a customized outage detection system that reduced detection time from 30 minutes to 3 minutes, teaming with the UNIX administrator. Then I fine-tuned the system for adoption throughout the company. I also streamlined the bottleneck for customer modem configuration by writing a script that allowed field technicians to enter data that automatically configured the modems.
