About Chris Rowland

Chris Rowland is currently working for OVESCO on community renewable power projects to generate local sustainable heat and power. In 2011 OVESCO Limited IPS raised over £400K via a community share issue and invested the capital in four community owed PV projects in the Lewes District. The first project installed 98kWp (544 PV panels) at Harveys depot in Lewes using Southern Solar as the contractor. In 2014 OVESCO won an Ashden Award for their work to develop and scale up community owed renewable energy.Chris is also a freelance designer working as Clear Edge Design surveying sites and producing construction drawings for renewable energy projects, architectural glass and metal installations. His goal is to see the rapid development of a skilled renewable energy industry in the UK focusing on investment by local Coop's and ethical banks. .
