With one eye on the future, I am continually looking for new opportunities that will allow me to grow both personally and professionally and develop the skills that I will need to lead me to where I want to go.I started my career in public accounting as an external auditor with RSM in Milwaukee, WI. As I continually gained technical expertise in a variety of areas and developed my skills, I began taking on more responsibilities such as the training and development of others.I began leading the entire audit process serving as the in-charge on increasingly larger and more complex engagements while supervising teams with up to 6 staff working directly under me. As a result, I moved up the ladder being promoted first to Audit Senior Associate and then to Audit Supervisor.During my 5+ years at RSM, I worked on 70+ engagements for 39 different companies (public, private and not-for-profit) in over 10 different industries. I worked on 15 engagements involving mergers/acquisitions and purchase accounting, 4 engagements involving divestitures/carve-outs and 3 engagements involving the restatement of prior year financial statements.After giving it a lot of thought, I left RSM and decided to move to Chicago, IL where I continued to build on the valuable technical expertise that I gained in public accounting by working as an accounting and finance contractor assisting a Fortune 500 company complete a variety of accounting policy & technical accounting research projects.Over the years, I have gained an extensive technical expertise and have become highly skilled in problem solving, critical thinking, data analysis, project management, setting/managing priorities and working on high value tasks. I am a strong team player and an effective communicator, who values personal and business integrity.With one eye on the past, I know who I am today and the skills I currently possess which gives me a clear path to follow that will lead me to where I want to go.
