Profile bio

About Chris Sano

Deaf. I'm the Accessibility Architect in the Calling/Meetings/Devices group in the Microsoft Teams organization at Microsoft. I'm passionate about developing and driving a culture of accountability, diversity/equity/inclusion, growth, and productivity. I value engineering excellence, whether it means approaches/techniques that allow us to deliver high quality products or incorporating processes that allow us to accomplish our goals in the most streamlined manner. I believe a tight feedback loop with customers leads to higher satisfaction, and that satisfaction itself is what fuels me.I have a wide range of experiences; I started out as a user experience designer and have evolved my skill-set into a rich array of software engineering related expertises. I've delivered various web-based, Windows desktop, iOS, and cross-platform applications and services over the years. And I've been known to design a few logos, too!C# is my language of choice, but I'm also comfortable with the likes of Javascript, Python, Objective-C, Ruby, Swift and Typescript. I also enjoy learning new languages, frameworks, and techniques associated with them. Elixir/Functional Programming is a recent interest that I find myself spending more and more time on.At this point in my career, I'm looking for technical leadership opportunities where I can lead projects. I don't mind people management, but I want to be down in the trenches with my team as much as possible. That means making significant contributions to the codebase. If you have or know of a such opportunity, please reach out!

Listed skills include Software Development, Test Driven Development, Design Patterns, Sql, and 14 others.
