Transport Development Control (South) Team Leader with Buckinghamshire County Council, responsible for a team of 6. Work undertaken included Pre-planning Enquires, the examination of Planning Applications and Transport Assessments, negotiating Section 106 contributions, supervising road schemes under Section 38 and 278 of the Highways Act, writing appeal statements and appearing at Public Inquires. The team dealt with three district councils: Wycombe, South Bucks and Chiltern. I was also responsible for producing performance indicators in line with Government requirements. Additionally I worked on the County’s Local Transport Plan 2 as well as representing the County Council’s interests in the District Councils’ Local Development Framework documents.
