Responsible for the coordination and delivery of commercial product marketing initiatives that are directly linked to sales revenue and to develop and execute all marketing activities, with the aim of strengthening brand awareness and driving lead generation

I spent 18 months in Sydney helping an old colleague to establish and manage his new restaurant business. The role consisted planning multi-channel marketing activities, organising events and joint venture promotions with local businesses to raise awareness, all the associated logistics including production, food & beverage, managing venue and staff, client liaison, stakeholders and relationship building for future private hires.The launch was a success and the business grossed over $2m in its first 12 months due to a strong marketing and events program. I was asked to stay on permanently but decided to return to the UK.

Based at Heaven Nightclub in Charing Cross. My role was to plan weekly in-house B2C events and market the venue for B2B day and night time private hires. This was an extremely demanding role and required me to be highly organised and work regular long and anti-social hours managing a large team of people. I was lucky to have a high degree of autonomy which allowed me to bring my personality, imagination, organisational and creative skills to my work and I believe this brought about overall success. The experience was extremely rewarding and this is reflected in the length of time I spent with the business and venue.I was also business manager for one of the company’s key brands, owning the business operation in its entirety including event brand and operation management, all marketing and sales activities, customer relationships, managing stakeholders, event staff, production, all related logistics and profit & loss accountability.During my time, I had the pleasure to work alongside such high profile clients as Arcadia Group, Virgin, Société Générale, X Factor and RuPaul’s Drag Race.On leaving, the business was achieving annual sales in excess of £11m and had consistently increased profit year on year for a period of over 6 years working on an average of 79% gp. This growth was achieved through regular innovation, building strong relationships and developing exciting sales and effective cost saving initiatives.

I was brought in to help with business development and customer growth designing and managing national and international sales & marketing campaigns for small and large-scale public and private hire events. I took over one of their key brands and delivered customer growth exceeding 300% within the first 4 years and massively increased revenue and profit, brand value and awareness using multi-channel integrated marketing communications. I was based at Heaven Nightclub in Charing Cross and was also involved with other venues in London, Manchester and Ibiza.

Successfully developed and launched a new sales & marketing strategy resulting in an annual revenue increase of 30% over 24 months. I produced new corporate sales literature, redesigned the website, developed new digital marketing channels and produced content and marketing assets.

I joined as a junior clerk and was promoted to the Senior clerk. I worked within the head office and then on their (then) largest LNG project to date based in Oman worth $3Bn
