Chris is a Manager in the Business Operations - Systems Delivery & Modernisation team with over 7 years' experience in test design and delivery across a range of transformation and development projects in both consulting and industry roles. As a Test Architect and Delivery Lead, Chris has designed and implemented a range of delivery approaches for both manual and automated quality assurance, usability testing, and data testing.Specialising in Automated and Technical testing, Chris is an experienced developer having worked with a variety of languages, tools, and delivery models including SCRUM, Kanban, and Waterfall. He holds a BCS Diploma in Solution Development and is an ISTQB certified Advanced Test Automation Engineer.

Joining the Technology team during the initial wave of growth, Chris was the first member of the QA team. He was been instrumental in embedding Quality Assurance processes in all areas of the SDLC - from Retrospectives to User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.In his role as QA SME, Chris established the team’s test approach and associated processes that aligned with FinTrU’s strategic and tactical objectives. Responsibilities also included creating and executing automated test scripts, reporting results, and test governance.Chris also designed and led the inaugural QA training programme for junior talent. This training programme formed part of a wider rotation-based training programme delivered to all apprentices and graduates. In 2021, Chris was selected to participate in the FinTrU “TrU Potential” management training programme. This included taking part in a series of group challenges alongside management and leadership training delivered by the FinTrU senior management team. During this time the cohort was responsible for the creation and launch of the new FinTrU mission and vision statements.

Joined in 2017 as a member of the Systems Engineering - Testing & Quality team within the Deloitte Nearshore Delivery Centre in Belfast. Specialising in Test Automation, Chris' responsibilities have included creating and executing automated test scripts, reporting results and test governance. He also designed and developed extensible and cross-platform automation frameworks in a variety of languages including C#, Python, JavaScript, and Java. Chris has experience developing and working within Agile teams incorporating DevOps/TestOps processes.

As part of his degree, Chris completed a 12-month placement at The Dow Chemical Company. During this time, he worked within the Supply Chain Technology CoE team and was heavily involved in many projects. Chris built and maintained a variety of visibility enhancing tools. The role also included scoping and testing new technologies such as GPS telemetry tools, ETL solutions, BI reporting software, machine learning and data analytics packages. Chris gained experience working with large datasets, ERP systems, data cleansing and analysis using PowerBI and Tableau.
