Working for the Office of Financial Management (OFM) in collaboration with Washington Technology Solutions (WaTech), the Governor’s Office and customer agencies, I design, develop, implement, and maintain a multi-track training program that supports a suite of fourteen applications for the State of Washington. These applications support budgeting, legislative, accounting, reporting, contract management, and other financial administrative activities. I collaborate with the business users and the technical staff to ensure the customers are properly trained and can perform their job duties effectively.

Tumwater, Wa

Collaborated as part of a multi-disciplinary project team to plan, design, develop and implement a training program to prepare the business users for the new processes and systems. Mentored the client training coordinators in designing and developing the training initiative for a multi-faceted, multiple stakeholder, tax and business licensing project. Managed the training needs assessments, and the training design, development, and delivery efforts. Promoted and facilitated communication across all work streams to confirm training activities were synchronized and coordinated. Promoted quality standards for instructional design and development. Directed the implementation of an effective and recognized train-the-trainer approach by readying the trainers and developing training tools for trainers. Coordinated organizational change management activities through participation in change readiness assessments, project communications, and stakeholder engagement activities.Exceeded success metrics expectations with a 94% customer satisfaction rating, and developed two customer-approved training plans. Successful performance in this role led to a promotion as the WA DOR Tax and Licensing System Replacement Training Lead role, overseeing several WA State employee direct reports. Conceived, developed, managed, and delivered technical training programs that supported two major MMIS projects: the State of Washington's MMIS solution (ProviderOne), and the State of Utah’s new MMIS solution (PRISM). Developed the training strategy, determined the training objectives, and drove the curriculum development effort for both projects. Coordinated the authoring of training material, including handouts, skills assessments, and hands-on exercises. Supervised the development of digital training tools, such as web-based training, tutorials, and online help. Managed staff, logistics, and cost for development and deployment of hardware training solutions to venues around the States of Washington and Utah. Created and managed a 3,500-person training program for Washington state staff and medical providers.Exceeded success metrics expectations with an 86% customer satisfaction rating, and developed eight customer-approved training plans. Successful performance in this role led to the promotion as Training Director, accepting the responsibility for future project proposal development and the managing of Utah’s new MMIS training program.

Managed the development of a pivotal new product for Intel Corporation. Handpicked to deliver the first prototype card for the company’s new innovative graphic solution. Directed platform-wide activities including architectural design, package, and board layout; as well as signal integrity, power, structural, thermal-mechanical and marketing. Developed and delivered a new low-cost, liquid cooling educational demonstration for the Spring 2006 Intel Developers Forum and CeBIT in Hannover, Germany.The successful trade show presence resulted in increased awareness of the product, positive reviews in the industry trade publications; and influenced the industry to innovate liquid cooling technology.

Managed the division’s participation in worldwide marketing and technical training events. Directed course design, curriculum development, procurement of materials, assembly of training systems, and delivery of systems to the events. Supervised a project development team of individual contributors, consisting of integrators, content specialists, and trainers. Redesigned and managed the Technical Solutions Training (TST) program, a worldwide hands-on technical training program – the only hands-on technical training given to Intel’s top resellers.Successful performance in this role led to a promotion as the Division Training Manager, reporting to executive staff. Conceived a new worldwide development and deployment process to reach 100 cities in 40 countries annually. Increased worldwide coverage by 100% over the previous iteration of the program.

Created, directed, and produced demonstration systems and videos for the sales, marketing, and training of new products. Established this new capability for the division, and designed a new process for requests and development. Produced, directed and edited several corporate training films for various venues and both internal and external audiences.Promoted to Training Program Manager after demonstrating the capability to manage the program beyond the technical aspects. Earned several recognition awards for delivering quality content at a cost savings to the company. Developed two separate demonstration systems that secured national television spots on ABC’s “Good Morning America”.
