Strand, CPAMy specialties were tax compliance and planning for well-to-do families, as well as their closely-held businesses, estates and trusts. I was involved in wealth planning, retirement planning, planning for corporate executives, including compensation planning and stock option consulting, entity structuring and corporate reorganizations. All of my services as a CPA in public accounting have transferred well into my role as a CFO. Having been on the other end of a billing worksheet, I can maximize the benefits of hiring other CPAs, while minimizing fees by eliminating the need to have the CPA firm participate in any routine tasks that can be executed internally.
