As the Executive Vice President of Economic Development, I oversee all aspects of business attraction, retention and expansion, small business and entrepreneurial support, as well as talent development.

As the Senior Vice President of Business Attraction, Retention and Expansion, I work with companies inside the the Fort Worth area to assist in their growth as well as companies outside of the area to help them better understand the market to make the best location decision.

As part of Columbus 2020, I have worked with companies in the Columbus Region to promote growth and new private investment. I guide client's projects through the state, local and regional incentive process to help provide necessary resources that leads to job creation and private investment.In my time with Columbus 2020, I have worked on over 200 announced economic development projects that have invested over $1 billion in the Region and have resulted in the creation and retention of over 35,000 jobs.

While with the State, I was the senior project manager, managing over $7 billion of private investment during my time. I was charged with overseeing all projects with major impact on the State's economy as well as a leadership role in the aerospace and aviation industry. As the leadership prepared for the transition to JobsOhio, I was responsible for maintain the relationships with the State's businesses.

I led the Development Department for the City, which included Economic Development, Building, Planning and Zoning Divisions. Overseeing a staff of planners, building inspectors and office staff as well as administrating contracts for various consulting architects, engineers and plan reviewers.I also served as the Executive Director for the Canal Winchester Community Improvement Corporation, representative to the Fairfield 33 Development Alliance and regional representative to the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

As Village Planner, I oversaw all aspects of planning, zoning, and economic development as well as most functions related to transportation and engineering. I worked with our Council and Planning Commission to managed the revision to the zoning code, update to the comprehensive plan and development of the River Road Master Development Plan.While with Granville, I also served as the Chairperson of the Licking County Transportation Survey (LCATS - Licking County MPO), representative to MORPC and was the main point of contact for all state, regional and local organizations, such as ODOT, ODOD, Licking County Planning Commission, etc...

Working with the company in both Michigan and Ohio, I learned basic and advanced techniques in planning, civil engineering (road, water & sewer systems), transportation and environmental studies, as well as a significant amount of time on parking analysis and garage design. I learned more in my time with this company about the importance of proper engineering in the development, site selection, and business decision making process than in any other position I have held. You would really be surprised how the need of a turn lane or storm water solution at the last minute would delay or cancel a project.
