About Chris Sumsky

During the past 30+ years I have enjoyed a career which has encompassed a variety of information technology specialties and opportunities. I began my career in application development, I switched focus with the emergence of personal computing in the early 80's. This led to an interest in networking and data communications which spanned the next 10 to 12 years. At that point I began the transition into a variety of management roles across multiple organizations of varying sizes and focus areas such as server operations, data center operations and research and development. My previous employers and positions have included Managing Consultant, Sr. Director, Emerging Technology of Research & Development, Vice President of Data Center Operations as well as a variety of technology roles at companies such as Time Warner, The Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, NASA , Apple Computer and Federal Express. The opportunity of working for these organizations has led to a breadth and depth of experience which has provided the unique qualities to become an IT Transformation expert in today’s computing environments, which is required to develop the best IT solutions in todays technology landscape. Be it on premise, colocated data center or public cloud. From 2010 through mid 2017 I worked on a variety of both short and long term independent consulting engagements in the area of technology architecture, strategy and data center transformation.
