Hired as part of the backend team, but floated as needed between API (Node.js / MongoDB), mobile (both iOS and Android), partner integrations, and logistics / fulfillment; helped move Boxed's vast tech infrastructure to a more service-oriented, self-contained, and flexible architecture, that ultimately became the Spresso Enterprise platform.· Produced the 90-day trial demo that helped win investment from Aeon (Japan) and subsequent contracts & revenue share with Aeon Malaysia and Aeon Vietnam, now cornerstones of Spresso Enterprise.· Designed and implemented the backend for the Boxed Marketplace, doubling the size of our catalog and increasing product breadth, while introducing federated GraphQL and event-driven microservices into Boxed’s tech ecosystem, along with a standard REST API for sellers.· Architected and built Boxed’s group ordering feature, including system design, backend implementation, iOS & Android implementations, and realtime messaging (Firebase).

Co-invented remote music authoring technology (US Patent #6423893) and subsequently co-designed and built the www.wholenote.com and www.activebass.com musician websites. The two properties have combined to crowdsource one of the largest libraries of online music instruction: over 25,000 pages from 3200+ musicians.Collaborated with partner to monetize this musician traffic and bootstrap the company via the e-commerce website, www.activemusician.com, resulting in profitability by year 3 and attaining a peak of 500K+ uniques/month.Outlined and wrote a custom inventory management system to handle 250K+ products from 50+ supplier sources, as well as a custom order processing system to fulfill 240K+ orders.Cut monthly hosting costs in half by migrating entire company network from its initial proprietary software & co-located hardware platform to a cloud-based, open-source solution.
