Technical Project Lead and Solution Architect on the Bell Push to Talk project, taking on various roles throughout the life of the project. During project initiation I served as platform SME as well as project manager – engaging the relevant SMEs, we evaluated several different vendors and provided a recommendation to the Bell Executive team based on technology and cost. During implementation I lead the platform team, delegating various aspects of this phase to appropriate SMEs while providing overall guidance, assisting with vendor escalations and collecting the team’s input in order to provide weekly updates to the Bell Executive team. Post launch I assisted with addressing several customer facing issues, providing an escalation path to the vendor, engaging several Bell SMEs for problem resolution, and tracking issues to closure.Design consultant on Bell’s analytics initiative, leveraging my experience gained on the DPI project around customer privacy I was asked to provide insight on what was permissible in terms of where customer data could be stored and what could be done with it.Design consultant on a project that implemented video calling from within Facebook to video capable mobile devices. Duties included developing and executing test cases to validate the functionality of the platform. During the execution of the test cases, I worked with the various vendors to resolve issues encountered during the testing. I received another Bell Canada Bravo award for my work on this project.

Lead Architect on a project implementing deep packet inspection to accommodate advanced data billing. I was responsible for overall design, integration and testing of the solution. Duties included coordinating activities of several different groups within Wireless Technology and Engineering to accomplish the project goals as well as providing status updates to upper management.Lead Architect on a project implementing a middleware platform to mitigate the increased data traffic being directed toward to the new Prepaid platform. I was responsible for creating and executing test cases, signing off the acceptance of the product and providing status reports to upper management. After launch, my duties include coordinating activities with third party vendors that wish to integrate with the Prepaid platform via the middleware.
Development Architect – Voice Services
Lead Architect on a project implementing push to talk over cellular using VoIP technology. I received a Bell Canada Bravo Award in recognition for the effort put in to the launch of the 10-4 (Push-to-talk) service, one of the most successful service launches in the history of Bell Mobility. I was responsible the overall implementation, including overseeing the lab setup, designing, coordinating with subject matter experts, documenting and testing the solution. As part of supporting the solution, my current duties include coordinating any activities with the 10-4 (Push-to-talk) lab including the testing of any proposed resolution to production issues.Lead Architect on a project that extends corporate dialing (extension dialing) plans to cellular phones. Duties include working with the vendor to make design changes to the platform to accommodate the requirements of the business and thoroughly testing the changes prior to production deployment.
Development Architect - Prepaid
Technical Lead on a project integrating the Prepaid cellular platform in to a new billing system. Duties included working closely with the Billing team to ensure the integration was done correctly as well as coordinating test activities. Working as the Prepaid Subject Matter Expert, I reviewed and provided comment on the Billing System design documents to ensure they did not negatively impact the Prepaid platform.Technical Lead on a project that allowed for real-time billing of SMS messages on a Prepaid cellular platform. Duties included coordinating development and testing with the SMS team and administrating several Solaris servers. Platform Owner of the Prepaid cellular lab platform. Duties included coordinating activities with the lab platform, including testing fixes for production issues.
