Coordinator, Critical Care Affiliate Practitioner Program
CurrentResponsible for the administration of the operational and general business functions of the Critical Care Affiliate Practitioner (AP) Group. Performs a variety of duties to obtain, compile, gather, check, arrange, verify and assemble all information and documentation/credentials required for determining the qualifications and clinical competence of medical staff. Prepares applications for practitioners who are applying for privileges at UMass Memorial Medical Center and at any member or affiliate hospitals. Acts as primary contact and liaison for the AP's and outside departments Works with the program schedulers to ensure adequate staff coverage. Supports staff recruitment, documentation of training and assists program members with credentialing.Performs weekly payroll and documentation verification for the compensation plan. Coordinates interviews and works with all new hires through the beginning employment process. Coordinates and supports the On-going Professional Performance Evaluations (OPPE). Monitors the CME program. Ensures proper documentation is maintained for competency assessment, credentialing and compliance purposes. Evaluates methods and procedures or develops alternative techniques for processing work or improving the operating efficiency/effectiveness.Monitors that personnel receive proper training in timely fashion to satisfy compliance regulations. Monitors the employee environment utilizing employee feedback and helps improve the environment when possible.Collaborates with the Critical Care business manager and Affiliate Practitioner (NP/PA) Program Director to develop budgets and manages activities to assure financial goals are met.Working with the Affiliate Practitioner (NP/PA) Program Chief Critical Care, unit directors, supervising physicians, and adult ICU attending physicians, provides support and guidance to the ICU Affiliate Practitioners in order to promote teamwork and motivation.
