Designed and implemented a pilot program promoting volunteerism and highlighting the impact of local non-profit community organizations in light of the consequences of the pandemic. Recruited and matched 20+ volunteers with 6 non-profit organizations and social enterprises to elevate their online presence.Mobilized internal staff, local volunteer centre, and 30 external organizations to quickly scale the program after the pilot project launched in June 2021. Received a Community Involvement award.

Developed and oversaw the implementation and operation of Coquitlam’s first outdoor youth centre providing a fun and safe environment for hundreds of teens. Partnered with 8 non-profit associations to develop, operate, and promote an “Intro to Sport” program for 100 youth community members. Planned and supervised the development and operation of a youth gardening program.Designed and executed communication plans to increase community participation in outdoor activities and community services while building a strong team of staff, volunteers and community stakeholders.

Partnered with multiple stakeholders, community groups, internal departments and staff, and the local School District to plan, design, launch, and manage a number of successful community development projects and recreation services, including:▪️the “Park Spark” program focused on strengthening the relationship between the city’s green spaces and members of the local community,▪️the “Coquitlam in Bloom” program that won multiple awards at the provincial, national and international levels,▪️the “Spotlight on Sport” campaign promoting the importance of community sport activities in a healthy community,▪️multiple park clean-up and invasive plant removal programs,▪️two community gardens

Developed a volunteer management program for a 5-day international conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre within 4 months. Recruited, screened and trained 120+ volunteers from post-secondary institutions around the world. Worked closely with multiple teams, including technical, registration, event management, and guest speakers to ensure seamless execution.
