Bliss Out Camp Out is a digital detox retreat in the mountains of California. Our goal is to create an environment that supports women and underrepresented communities in the outdoor space.The event combines empowerment workshops and activities to create the fun nostalgia of summer camp, while allowing women to move outside their comfort zones and inspire one another. Framewrx International is a project based international aid and development organization with dual objectives: 1. Design, implement, and manage community driven projects that prioritize accountability, long-term viability and strategies for replication and scalability.2. Share what we learn – from our successes as well as mistakes – with stakeholders, organizations, institutions, and practitioners that work within, or have influence on, the field of international aid and development. Our current project is in Haiti. Since 2016, we’ve provided access to clean water for over 8,500 people in the rural mountains of the country through rain water harvesting systems. Our design, implementation, management, and growth strategy is done by following local Haitian leadership. Together, we have developed a system of production and accountability that is essentially self-functioning. Each member of our crew is from a village in the area where we work; this helps establish, and reinforce, an effective line of communication and trust between the communities we serve and our organization, while simultaneously promoting a local sense of ownership over our project(s).
