I have relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, and I lead my team remotely. My goal in this position is to create a community of mathematical leaders who can inspire and educated students to be creative, innovative and confident mathematical thinkers. My responsibilities include managing a team of instructional coaches, designing and delivering professional learning opportunities for teachers and principals, creating mathematical rich tasks and monitoring classroom implementation of our curriculum.

I created a safe and collaborative environment for students and teachers. As the assistant principal, I was responsible for rolling out several district initiatives, including restorative practices.

I led a group of 20 first year teachers working at high needs campuses in Fort Worth ISD. I coached them on classroom management and instructional strategies using a model that consists of giving actionable feedback and providing in class coaching to hone skills. Everything we worked on is designed to close the opportunity gap by creating high performing teachers.

I managed a team of instructional coaches who prepared pre-service teachers to be successful in some of our highest needs classrooms. I used data from our pre-service teachers to design professional learning opportunities for our coaches.

As the Elementary Math Specialist, I was a subject matter expert who was also responsible for training teachers and principals throughout the district in various research based strategies to help improve student performance in math. I created innovative professional development opportunities in all areas of elementary math as well as RTI strategies and various instructional program usage.
