CCC helps people struggling with mental health, addiction, and/or homelessness find treatment and provides alternatives to incarceration.Criminal Driving Unit Trial Lawyer 2013-2017Lead prosecutions of complex criminal driving cases including serious bodily harm and death at both Provincial Court and Superior Court. These cases involved constitutional challenges, direct and cross examination of witnesses including fact and subject matter experts and voir dire. Responsible for all elements of Summary Conviction Appeals including transcript reviews, briefs and oral argument at Superior Court. On call 24/7 as the Police Traffic Advisory Crown. Provided time sensitive assistance to officers advising on probable cause and drafting warrants on serious motor vehicle cases. Docket Unit and Homicide Trial Lawyer 2011-2013Effectively staffed high volume trial, docket and disposition courts and prosecuted complex homicide cases, including first and second degree murder.
