I started in the insurance business in 1980 right after graduating college. I was hired on my very first interview by one of the largest captive insurance companies in America. I immediately gravitated to becoming a property & casualty practitioner. It was very gratifying to be able help my contractor customers bid on lucrative construction projects they wanted to perform. My ability to design compliant insurance coverage couple with obtaining bid bonds made sure their financial responsibility instruments were in "good order" positioning them to win the work. My passion grew when I was able to be part of their winning teams and receiving referrals from these existing clients. It is very gratifying to get a call from a new prospect solving their problems by breaking things down into simple layman terms while earning their trust the old fashion way through hard work. I first met Peter Ferraris, President of TFIG more than 3 decades ago at the office of a very large well known prominent construction company in Stamford, CT. We were friendly advisories at the time both competing on the company's comprehensive insurance program. We were fortunately enough to be able to view each others proposals to make any constructive recommendations. It was both of our goal and objectives to provide the best insurance product in the marketplace for the insured at the most competitive pricing available. We seemed to both have the insured's best interests in mind looking forward to a long term relationship with the customer. Later on that year I received a call from Peter Ferraris to see if I would be interested in interviewing as a commercial lines insurance producer at TFIG. I became the first male employee on a staff of nearly 20 employees in September of 1987. I am now approaching my 30th year elevated to the position of Senior Vice President Commercial Lines working with a growing staff of over 35 licensed practitioners with over 500 years of achievement.
