As a member of the Internet department, my role was to facilitate the development of various company websites. For the Video and Broadcasting divisions I was the acting project manager for the development of each B2B website and CMS, and performed typical duties such as requirement gathering, technical guidance, site testing, and CMS training. As the Video and Broadcasting websites became stable, I joined the Retail division on their 3rd party brick and mortar and online solution project as a web adviser. Due to limitations of the e-commerce portion of the solution (and no access to precompiled code), my role expanded from adviser to developer, adding extensive JavaScript coding to the site to implement many of the custom requirements. For the Publications division, I was the project manager, designer, and developer of their PHP based consumer website and separate blog site (customized Wordpress solution).Outside of my main responsibilities, my web and programming skills were utilized as needed within the company, for example, writing VBA scripts in Excel to automate lengthy tasks performed by Broadcasting's Accounting department. In 2008, when I pursued a Masters of C.S., I continued to work for LFP, Inc on a mostly part time contract basis for continued site maintenance. Larger projects included design and development of Publishing's online subscription cart (PHP, MySQL) and project managing the development of a new digital magazine.

Part time Instructor for the Computer Science Department. - Computational Bioinformatics (CS485)- Software Engineering (CS362)- Introduction to Programming with C++ (CS120)- Computer Impact (for non CS majors) (CS 313)

The role included website and web app development for the client, JetSetPoker.com. I developed dynamic aspx webpages, Flash pieces, and related database stored procedures for the client’s new website.I was also tasked with the development of deadline sensitive Promotions section of web based client application in ASP.Net C#, including related database stored procedures and functions. There was a new interactive promotion monthly.

Citysearch's production department created websites and banner ads for listed businesses and marketing promotions. My main goal as manager of production design was to keep productivity and quality of web and banner development at or above average. This was done by developing more efficient procedures, processes, and tools for the production pipeline resulting in a 10% increase in design team productivity and increased automation of tasks for all involved teams (often through Visual Basic scripts). Internal products were sporadically assigned to the design team which I would effectively integrate into the current pipeline with new procedures and processes without impacting the customer product development.As a product expert and team liaison I took ownership of escalated issues and clients to create resolutions, and acted as resource and support for Sales and Customer Service with product and design info and advice. The Citysearch environment had a strong H.R. presence and encouraged quarterly and annual employee performance reviews which I appreciated as a tool that allowed me to gauge my team's happiness, accurately act as a voice for the team, and coach and develop individual team members. In the spirit of professional development I also voluntarily offered a company wide HTML class.Company awards received: Citysearch Operation's Performance (3x), Best of Citysearch, Ticketmaster-Network nation-wide MVP.Participated in Quality Service Skills Training and Pathways to Leadership Sessions
