Responsible for building creative experiences and positive interactions on Scratch (scratch.mit.edu) – a free online community where young people program and share interactive stories, games, and animations. Scratch has grown to more than 100 million registered members (ages 8 and up), creating and sharing thousands of projects each day.- - - - - - - - → Overseen Scratch’s growth from 7 million accounts to more than 100 million with members creating and sharing tens of thousands of projects each day→ Acts as main point of contact for the community, managing multiple prominent Scratch accounts with over 150,000 followers and over 500,000 points of engagement per year and growing→ Designs, implements, and maintains a strategic framework for engagement in the community→ Develops and manages a series of experiences and opportunities to drive engagement, playing a pivotal role in facilitating communication and promoting core values and ideas of Scratch on behalf of the organization→ Responsible for spotting trends and understanding user mindsets to keep the greater Scratch Team informed of the health of the community→ Assists in data collection and data analysis in order to gain insights on member needs and behaviors and then leveraging that data to inform future engagement work→ Coordinates, implements, and manages cross-team projects in collaboration with teams across the Scratch Foundation in support of the evolution of Scratch and engagement opportunities→ Assists in organizing, creating, implementing, and managing event materials, communications, and resources for partnership-related campaigns→ Manages and develops a team of engagement specialists.
