Responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the Human Resources function for a staff of approximately 60 individuals in an organization whose mission is to build a loving world. In this role, I served as a member of a highly collaborative senior leadership team and supervised three staff. One of my proudest accomplishments was the development of a recruitment process that resulted in an average annual turnover of less than 2%. I was responsible for the administration of a highly competitive total rewards package, which included a self-funded health plan, life and disability plans, and other benefits designed to support staff work/life balance. Our total reward package included a compensation program that ensured competitive pay, internal equity and employee engagement, attracting and retaining an incredibly accomplished staff. I was also responsible for maintaining the employee handbook, implementing new policies, and enforcing compliance with legal requirements, and guiding supervisors in carrying out their responsibilities in regard to all personnel matters. I provided oversight for employee communications processes, including monthly full-staff meetings, benefits communications, policy changes, and other occasional informational meetings, and I worked with supervisors to formulate job descriptions to define roles, clarify responsibilities, and ensure legal compliance. One of my favorite functions in this role was coordinating a robust employee wellness program which integrates eight dimensions of wellness, supporting staff in bringing their full, authentic self to work.
