I am fascinated by how people communicate about climate change and am greatly motivated to find answers on how societal responses to the issue can be improved. Right from the beginning of my studies at the Windesheim Honours College, I started to explore the field of communication science. Soon I developed strong interest in climate change communications. In 2017, I was granted the NWO Research Talent scholarship to conduct my own PhD research, and in 2024 I received an NWO Veni grant. My focus is on climate change, science communication, polarization, and online media. Currently, I investigate the role of scientists in the climate crisis.
