I am the current Events Officer of the Lebanese Society (academic year 2023-2024), and my aim is to make Lebanese people feel at home away from home by fostering a positive and supportive environment for all of our Lebanese community. We also hold events with the Lebanese societies of other universities in London (such as UCL, King's College, Queen Mary University) which enables people to network and meet more Lebanese people currently living in London, overall creating a tight-knit community of Lebanese expats in London.

As a private tutor working with The Elite Prep, I have been teaching GCSE and A-level Phyiscs to students from different skills and backgrounds. I have been able to help a student improve their grade from D to A after several weeks of tutoring.

I work part-time at my previous sixth-form Ashbourne College, both as an academic tutor and a college administrator. I provide one-to-one mentoring in A-level Maths and Physics, and I have been able to help students consistently score higher on mocks or homework assignments. I also manage a multitude of admin responsibilities, whereby I regularly complete several admin operations and offer support to teachers as well. Finally, I handle the college’s current and previous database via the software FileMaker, which requires confidentiality as it contains both staff and student information details.

I worked as the sponsorship officer for the RCSU in the academic year 2022-2023, which demands a high level of proactiveness. This job entailed setting the foundation of the RCSU's operational framework by deciding on the structure of sponsorship packages and then paving the way for future collaborations (and consequentially negotiating potential contracts and agreements).

As an Undergraduate Research Summer student working with the Metamaterials for Multiscale Physics & Mechanics Group from the Maths department this summer 2023, my role was to simulate novel physical phenomena via MATLAB and present my findings in weekly meetings with my supervisors, Dr Richard Wiltshaw and Henry J. Putley. I was able to produce figures of several novel situations, simulating a tuneable topologically non-trivial complete photonic band gap and edge state. This prompted my supervisors to decide to work on publishing an academic paper together to a scientific journal. I also used Bash shell scripting throughout the project.

This is an elected student role to represent the Year 3 Physics cohort by collaborating with teaching academics and working together to improve student satisfaction.

I received mentoring over the span of 9 months by James Holt, a gas turbine specialist. The aim of the program is to gain industry insight from an expert in the field.

Over the summer, I worked on the polarization spectroscopy stability of a rubidium ECDL (external cavity diode laser) source. The main aim of my research was to improve the optical and electrical circuits in such a way that maximizes the efficiency of light detected while still achieving the required final locking of the source. A preliminary investigation was also conducted into the several factors affecting the stability of the final signal. Throughout the project, I was able to acquire a thorough understanding of the underlying processes occurring in my project, which then allowed me to coherently present the findings and possible extensions of my work to the CCM academics and researchers.

I worked as the Careers and Sponsorship Officer for the Physics Society under RCSU in the academic year 2021-2022. My job included collaborating with our pre-existing sponsors on various events (chess competitions, workshops) as well as ensuring a consistent chain of communication with them. I also organised and managed the annual Physics Careers Fair in 2022, inviting several companies and taking care of all the logistics for the event.

I was elected to act for the Liberation & Community Officer role, and my job was to represent the international students at Imperial and ensure we were well integrated into the university community. I participated in several campaigns that promoted mental and physical wellbeing for students in general. I also focused on improving the equality in opportunities available to international students.

I was a hall senior at Imperial College Pembridge Hall during the academic year of 2021-2022, whereby I helped organising several social and wellbeing events to support undergraduates in adjusting to university life. I acted as the social media manager of the official online platforms of Pembridge. I also assisted with logistics of several crucial hall events, such as the move-in and move-out days.
