I am Christer Joseph S. Cachero, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Scienceat the University of the Assumption (Pampanga). At present, I'm an IT Officer of BOF, Inc. (ARural Bank) and have been in the company since January of 2006.As an IT Officer of BOF, I oversee the day to day operations of the IT department. I preparevarious studies and recommendations to the top management. In addition, as a Manager, Icontinuously review the current IT processes to improve the department’s operations. Also, Ihave been involved in various IT Projects which include Disaster Recovery, User AccessManagement, consolidation of BOF, Inc. and Bank of Lubao and migrations of our CoreBanking System.Before assuming the position in 2020, I was an IT Supervisor with duties/responsibilitiesfocused on the core banking system, software applications and some database managementsupport. These responsibilities gave me the knowledge on systems and data administration.Monitoring of our system for bugs, errors or enhancement to be elevated to the softwareprovider, test patches in UAT before deploying in production are few of the tasks.For database management, creating custom scripts with SQL Developer and PL/SQL toproduce custom reports as needed by different departments and top management.Managing users and their functions in the system and execution of daily system backup arefew of the tasks that I also perform.During my free time, basketball, playing guitar and being with my family are few of myrecreational activities and hobbies outside my work environment to recharge myself.Our journey in learning never ends.
