I am an accomplished healthcare leader with 20 years of experience in management, acute care, home infusion, administration, operations, finance and compliance. I have been a Clinical Pharmacist, Director, author, speaker and consultant. I excel at managing teams and motivating them to achieve shared goals through servant leadership. My interests in cleanroom operations have also led me to consult with companies required to comply with USP<797> and <800> regulations. I am a patient advocate and am passionate about educating consumers on health care issues, which is why I founded Empowered Medicine, LLC. At Empowered Medicine, our health professionals provide Health and Medication Coaching to clients remotely or in the home. My interest in patient education has also lead me to pen the book 'Empowered Medicine: A Guide for Consumers'. It puts the official guidelines that doctors use in at the fingertips of the consumer. It translates the official guidelines for health conditions like high blood pressure and stroke into layman’s terms so consumers can learn which drug may be the most effective, have the least side effects and actually help them live longer (based on mortality data). I’m excited to see the future of healthcare.
