I am responsible for all IT related issues such as the e-commerce websites and internal software, tools and systems. I am also member of the company Management TeamI lead a team of two front end developers and one back end developer who take care of the above mentioned using Scrum.

Travix is the parent company of different Online Travel Agencies like vliegwinkel.nl, cheaptickets.nl en budgetair.com.I work as IT Service Manager at the System Engineering and IT Operations department.This department is responsible for the IT infrastructure that allows our different brand websites to run. The department is also responsible for the internal IT office infrastructure.My role is to make sure our department delivers it services according the processes and procedures I described.Key values are customer satisfaction, minimizing downtime and adding value to the Travix organization.

My primary role as a Scrum Projectmanager is making sure the team (developers and infrastructure specialists) is able to perform to its best. I am the process gatekeeper, making sure stakeholders (other departments, management) do not interfere with the Scrum process by changing scope during a sprint or asking for new or different feature or in any other way.My second important role is to facilitate the team, making sure the formal Scrum steps are taken (Sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming etc.) but also taking away any impediment there might be (from furniture wishes, to making sure training needs are met).I have managed the launch of three products, Private Cloud LeaseWeb Cloud and Virtual Server in the three countries LeaseWeb operates in, The Netherlands, Germany and the US.In this position I am also responsible for the development and deployment of new features to these products. I was responsible for the international expansion of TransIP.This expansion consisted of the opening of a Spanish branch located in Madrid. Due to the economic circumstances in Spain, the launch of the Spanish branch was postponed.

In my role of Project Manager I introduced and implemented Scrum in the TransIP organization.Scrum, with all its artifacts, was very successful because it allowed me to make the developers aware of the responsibility and choices they have in the development process. This resulted in better software and more grip on the process for me as a Project Manager but also for the CEO of the company.This grip in turn gave me tooling to shield the development team from external interfering.A few of the projects I have brought to a successful end are:* The development and introduction of a new Control panel our customers can use online to configure their services;* The introduction of IPv6;* The development of a new internal Customer Relationship Management system;* The development of a new Ticketing system used by our internal support department;* The development and introduction of the new Virtual Private Server (VPS) service for our customers.For these projects I have managed developers with the following expertise:* PHP developers;* Java developers;* CSS developers;* Designers;* System engineers.

As manager of the AlarmServiceCentrale I was responsible for the day to day management of all the activities and the operational processes. I also managed the 45 operators and 5 team leaders working at the AlarmServiceCentrale.Another big part of my responsibility was the initiation of new business and new activities. As manager I provided the know how and project management skills needed to implement these new activities.Furthermore I was responsible for the investigation, analysis and the eventual implementation of relevant developments in this field.

I was responsible for managing the Alarm and communication centre of the ING in the Netherlands department consisting of a team leader and 15 operators.A total of 3500 different locations are connected with the Alarm and communication Centre off ING. These are banks, ATM’s and office building belonging to the ING group in the Netherlands. The Alarm en Communicatie Centrum is also responsible for the crisis communication for ING Netherlands.

I was responsible for the realisation of the budget, growth and client and employee satisfaction for my unit. In this position I was responsible for the management of around 100 security agents (including team leaders) and a annual turnover of 2.500.000 Euros. I was the person assisting the area manager (the person responsible for this Securicor location).I helped and coached the other unitmanagers, I presided meetings and I provided the area manager with advice.
