I have over fifteen years of experience working in the smart textile industry. I founded Ohmatex A/S in 2004 and have contributed over the years to several trailblazing ventures.My background as an engineer and computer scientist and many years of project management have given me a firm grip on innovative R&D, while keeping an eye on the bottom line. This exciting job grew out of discussions with Danish Technological Institute (DTI) about standardization and the idea behind Smart Textile Alliance (STA).I am working in the Nanomaterials and Printed Electronics Department. My role is to bring this technology into the next generation of Smart Wearables utilizing the huge network that STA and I have built up over two decades.
Smart Textile Alliance is a not-for-profit corporation founded to advance e-textile technology through the development of industry standards and by supporting cross-sector collaborations. We are registered in England and our personal offices are based in Aarhus, Denmark and London, UK.

Worked as independent consultant and pursued the idea of creating an independent standardization body to align the Smart Textiles industry and mature the supply chain for this emerging technology.
I founded the company in 2004 with the aim of commercializing smart textile technologies. In 2014 external investors were brought into the company, hereafter I was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Co-Owner. In December 2019, I decided that the timing was just right to terminate my job as CTO and try new assignments outside the company.During my employment, I was mainly responsible for new business development and collaborative R&D. In November 2019, this led to signing a 1.04 million EUR contract with the European Space Agency for developing astronauts’ wearables. For the European Commission, I have worked as an external reviewer and H2020 evaluator.I have been keynote speaker and presenter at more than fifty conferences.
