The coalition is a collaborative effort between environmental NGOs and central-AZ stakeholders advocating for a Wild and Scenic Rivers Act designation for the Upper Verde River. • Weekly meetings with representatives from the Sierra Club, American Whitewater, American Rivers, Friends of the Verde, National Historic Preservation Institute, Prescott College, and Northern Arizona University.• Presents supporting research findings regarding the drivers and consequences of managing invasive fish with exclusion barriers in the Upper Verde River.

• Assistantship performed under the tutelage of Professor Brian Chaffin of the University of Montana as a part of a research team focused on using adaptive governance towards aiding tribal sovereignty over natural resources in the United States.• Analyzed each existing Tribal Water Settlement from the 1970s to the present with the goal of identifying inclusions that could aid Indigenous communities in climate adaptation and mitigation efforts.• Inclusions were entered into a spreadsheet to best display which aspects of these settlements have proved or could prove beneficial for the formerly mentioned goal.

• Collected stream data, prior to the Rattlesnake Creek Dam removal in 2020, for Trout Unlimited and the Clark Fork Coalition.• Data collection involved surveying large woody debris, counting and identifying macro-invertebrate, measuring dissolved oxygen, measuring creek pH, and conducting pebble counts.• Instructed youth involvement events through the organization that teach children about the importance of local water sheds and how to conduct different surveying techniques.
