Having a flair for the Japanese language and culture since my early teens, I always sought ways how to bridge the gap between Japan and Malta by providing services and assistance to Japanese clients while in Malta in order to provide them with the best experience ever.My goal, therefore, was to set up an agency, based in Malta to support Japanese students & tourists coming to Malta by providing reliable, accurate, professional support in real time; no time differences between the countries, as I would be there to support in case of emergencies.By learning their language and travelling to Japan often, I was able to understand and fortify my understanding of the type of service which Japanese needed and I set up Malta Study; an agency acting as an intermediary between prospective Japanese students and English Language schools in Malta. The service consists by efficiently recommend the best school and place for the student to stay in Malta by tailor making and customizing a plan according to one's needs and budget. • Manage a team of 10 people involved in an Auto Reconciliation system project (which reconciles customers deposits and withdrawals on a transaction level) coming from various departments (developers, finance officers, payments and fraud officers) in order to keep smooth communication throughout the day and efficiently tackle and solve problems as they arise.• Running and maintenance of the Auto Reconciliation Tool.• Investigate bugs reported in relation to the Auto Reconciliation Tool and work with the developers to improve both stability and performance of this tool.• Hold regular meeting sessions with Payment and Fraud members to show how to use the A.R.S tool to proactively detect fraud and increase customer satisfaction without being reactive.• Automate other manual processes and give training to the various members in order to ease their tasks and eliminate manual errors.• Analyse new Payment Solution Providers introduced by the company and use test environment prior to launching to help the “Head of Payments and Fraud” set-up and implement new Solutions in the company.• Daily running of an automated Day Cash Balance report.• Weekly running of automatically generated supplier invoices via xml (SEPA payments).
