Christian Henry joined Illumina in 2005 and currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In this global role he is responsible for all customer facing activity including sales, corporate marketing, service and support. Prior to this role Christian lead our Genomics Solutions business unit. In this role he was responsible for driving our life sciences business and had global responsibility for product development, informatics, operations and quality. From 2005 through 2012 Christian also served as our Chief Financial Officer.

In 2008 I took on the role of General Manager of our Sequencing business which is one of the fastest growing segments of Illumina. Additionally, responsible for worldwide financial operations, investor relations & facilities. In January 2009 I took on the additoinal responsiblities of managing the genomic services business.

I was brought in to turn around the financial operations for a public company that was delinquent in their SEC filings and under investigation by the SEC. We successfully became compliant and then successfully sold the Company with a favorable outcome for all.

Reporting to the CFO, responsible for world-wide financial operations including; planning and strategy, treasury, accounting, SEC reporting, SOX implementation. As the head of the pricing Committee, established pricing policies and practices.
