Serving at Bertucci's taught me many things about myself. I enjoy working with people and making their experience the best it possibly can. I learned to make my customers comfortable while fulfilling their needs quickly and efficiently. As a closing server, I had the responsibility every night to make sure the other servers properly completed their side work and cleaned their sections. This taught me leadership and how to get the best out of these servers. I quickly adapted to the fast-paced environment while multi-tasking and soaking in as much information as I could. I loved serving as I showed myself that I could thrive and be productive in a sales industry.

Working on the grounds crew at the world's best golf course was much more challenging than I thought it would be. I always tried to get my job done efficiently. I also learned that I needed to pay close attention to detail. I had to make sure my job looked as clean and elegant as possible because paying attention to the small details is what makes Pine Valley the number one course in the world. Pine Valley taught me that hard work and resiliency do pay off, making me a better person because of those things.

Starting my serving experiencing at Friendly's was a great stepping stone for me. It took me some time to get the hang of being proficient while taking care of all my tables, but I adapted and learned from other more experienced servers. I watched their techniques and how they went about serving their tables and translated their craft to my own. Friendly's taught me that I need to keep working hard, and eventually, my managers would take notice. I started mastering my craft, and as my superiors noticed, I started getting put in better sections that would allow me to make more money. Rising the totem pole was not going to happen overnight, but I had to realize that myself and just put my head down and keep working. The most important lesson I learned here was that determination does pay off, and people will start to see my work sooner or later.

At COIT, I was a technician assistant. I would help pack the equipment we needed for the day in our truck. Then, we would go to the houses we had jobs at that day, I would unpack the equipment needed and execute the job no matter what it was. I learned from working at COIT to be efficient while also paying attention to detail to be able to satisfy our customers' expectations.
