Designed standard and custom chassis for commercial and military applications. Proficient in sheet metal and machined designed parts in high tolerance assemblies. Vast knowledge of industry chassis standards (IEEE) and custom enclosures (SSF, VPX, ATR and conduction cooled) and EMI practices.

As part of the quick turn research and development team, my main responsibility was to interface with multiple clients to create or modify product lines. Projects with direct involvement included design of sheet metal (electronic rack mount chassis), machined parts (input/output panels), castings (die cast parts in magnesium and aluminum) and injection molded plastic parts. Design analysis to ensure product reliability and facilitate manufacturing procedures. Extensive experience related to completion of prototypes throughout engineering process. Fully operational on SOLID DESIGNER REV. 11 in NT environment and earlier versions in Unix with over 4500 design hours. In charge of documentation translation for clients and prototype venders. Fully operational on ME10 and SOLID DESIGNER ANNOTATION with over 8750 aggregate hours.

Designed machined parts (castings), created assembly drawings and supported documentation effort for U.S. Space Station Project. Fully operational in Unix based HP ME1o and ME30 3d solid modeling with over 4000 aggregate hours.

Design of mobile military shelters. Responsibilities included all equipment mounting arrangements, electrical and communication cable routing, lighting and all structural decisions. Design system used were AutoCAD REV. 9 and 10.

Design of gradient coil assemblies and probes for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imaging. Complex tolerance parts designed using Computervision Personal Designer, Release 3.1.
