Current duties:- Ensuring all editorial content is edited and presented to a high standard, to deadline and within budget, including twelve issues of the magazine annually, plus five special supplements, two posters and a calendar- Commissioning work from a range of contributors and freelancers- Contributing content to the magazine, website and social media, including interviews and features- Overseeing the layout and appearance of all content, ensuring it reflects the brand’s values and balances the needs of readers with advertisers- Encouraging a supportive and creative culture where all individuals are able to do their best work- Representing the brand and the company at conferences, events, industry and client meetings, concerts and festivals- Coordinating workflow within all branches of the team- Devising, disseminating and overseeing schedules across the year- Responsibility for flatplan, coordinating with advertising department- Coordinating forward planning- Overseeing all systems- Sourcing extra content for The Strad digital edition- Contributing to the company-wide success of Newsquest Specialist Media

- The Performing Arts Yearbooks contain listings of 24,000 arts companies in 66 countries. I recruited a team of eight updaters, working twelve hours per day, and liaised with arts organisations around the world to ensure accuracy in updating this six-month project. - Implemented a new online database, in collaboration with an external IT team, to make the listings fully searchable for online subscribers- Edited 40 pages of editorial content at the start of each yearbook

Duties included:- sub-editing page layouts and copy, with particular responsibility for radio pages- working with IT and database teams to solve production issues- liaising with staff in London, generating feedback and improving quality- coaching page producers and sub-editors on style points and layout- working to strict deadlines
